The Yorkshire Three Peaks

On Saturday 15th June, BEE Interiors Commercial Director Belinda Allinson took on the challenge of The Yorkshire Three Peaks.  As part of an organised group, Belinda’s aim was to raise funds through sponsorship for Martin House Hospice for Children and Young People.   Martin House currently looks after 400 families plus 170 bereaved families with the annual running cost being in excess of £8 million, which is precisely why fundraising events such as this are so very important.

Through her network of friends, colleagues and clients Belinda raised £1,100.00 plus Gift Aid, all of which will go towards care for terminally ill young people.  It was the thought of how well supported she had been, and how well needed these funds are,  that kept Belinda going throughout the gruelling 24 mile course, which saw all elements of weather thrown in to add to the challenge.  First came the sunshine, then the cloud, rain, wind, sleet, fog, drizzle and a little early evening return of the sun to finish the day on a high.  The end result – tired with sore legs but delighted to have completed all three peaks and to have raised well needed funds for an excellent charity.
